Our Supported Employment services are provided on an individual basis and address all phases of the journey towards maintaining meaningful employment.  Services include:

  • identification of vocational preferences

  • determination of demonstrated skills

  • development of a vocational plan to outline needed supports and services

  • familiarization with local industries and related jobs

  • development and supplementation of the skills necessary to identify appropriate application opportunities, complete the application process, and participate in interviews

  • job analyses of potential employment opportunities

  • supports necessary to learn specific job skills upon hire, including identification and implementation of support tools and job modifications

  • supports necessary to complete tasks related to being an employee, including completion of time cards, understanding of company policies, communicating effectively with supervisors, etc.

  • follow up as needed for maintenance of long term employment

The program is being expanded to allow for paid work experience during assessment and exploration.  This experience can help to identify additional skill sets, support needs, and work preferences as well as to develop successful work habits.  Additionally, Morgan Support Services Vocational Staff are ready to assist folks in exploring microenterprise and self-employment opportunities.

Supported employment services are funded through the NC Medicaid Innovations Waiver.  Days and hours of service will vary based on service details.
